Lawless is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Specialty Trust, Inc., Specialty Financial Corp., and Specialty Mortgage Corp. In addition, he is the Managing Director of Specialty Capital, LLC, an affiliated broker-dealer entity. Mr. Lawless was most recently the Treasurer and Senior Vice President of Trustreet Properties, Inc., a publicly traded REIT, where he served from 1998 until late 2005. Prior to this, Mr. Lawless worked in the treasury department of Barnett Banks and was the Assistant Controller for an architectural and engineering firm. He is a 15-year veteran of the finance industry. Mr. Lawless holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University, a BS from St. Leo’s University and a BS from Sacred Heart University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). Mr. Lawless also maintains the Series 7, Series 24, Series 27 and Series 63 licenses.
