Prior to this, Mr. Gieseke served since 2001 as the owner and President of The Galena Group, an independent consulting firm offering senior management services, strategic planning, financial analysis and restructuring services. From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Gieseke also served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Empire group of companies, a vertically integrated group with interests in farming, food processing and renewable energy as well as land and water rights development. Mr. Gieseke holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific. He has been a guest lecturer at the California State University Hayward in Financial Management and at the University of the Pacific in Management and Marketing as well as a recurring speaker in the Silicon Valley on business control and data processing.
